Post-Soviet area


The Post-Soviet states, also known as former Soviet republics, are the independent nations that have disbanded from the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics during its fall in 1991, or liberated from Soviet occupation such as Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania. They were also known as New Independent States.
